Masjidil Haram



Masjidil Haram (Arabic: المسجد الحرام) is a mosque in the city of Mecca is regarded as the holiest site for Muslims other than Aqsa Mosque and Nabawi Mosque. This mosque is one of the places in the implementation of the Hajj. Size of Masjidil Haram is ± 656,000 , and can accommodate 730,000 worshipers pray at one time on weekdays and more than 1 million pilgrims in the Hajj season.

   The mosque was built around the Kaaba which is becoming Qibla for Muslims in doing worship Salat. This mosque is also the largest mosque in the world



Kabah is building that resembles the shape of a cube, this place is the first building that are above the earth used as a mecca in conducting worship prayers by Muslims, in which the word of Allah in (QS. Ali Imran: verse 96), which means;
"Verily, man-made starters home to a place of worship that is home Bakka (Mecca), which is overflowing with blessings and guidance for the universe".
Kaaba is also called Baitullah (House of God) or Baitul Atiq (House of Freedom) constructed in the form of rectangular wall of large rocks bluish in color which comes from the mountains around Mecca. The foundation stone ± 25 cm thick marble, construction of the Ka'bah historically lasted 10 generations.
according to some scholars, Masjidil Haram means not only a mosque, but also the entire city of Mecca. High Priest of this mosque is Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais known priest in reading the Qur'an with clear articulation and a melodious voice and Sheikh Shuraim. while the muezzins and most senior in the Masjid Al-Haram is the voice of Mulla Ali azannya very famous in the Islamic world, including in the international media.


HISTORY OF MASJIDIL HARAM

According to the belief of Muslims, the Kaaba or more Bakkah name was first built by Prophet Adam. And then during the time of Prophet Ibrahim along with his son, Prophet Ismail who exalts basic - basic Kaaba, and simultaneously build a mosque around the Kaaba. Kaaba is located approximately in the middle of the Grand Mosque: high as fifteen feet; large stone cube shape.
Further expansion of the Haram began in AD 638 when Caliph Umar bin Khattab, by buying houses around the Kaaba and torn down for the purpose of expansion, and then resumed again in the caliphate of Uthman around the year 647 AD.
According to the hadeeth, one prayer in the Haram equal to 100,000 times prayers in other mosques except the Prophet's Mosque and the Aqsa Mosque. One prayer in the Prophet's Mosque is 1,000 times prayers in other mosques except the Haram and the Aqsa Mosque. As for the one praying at the Aqsa Mosque is equal to 250 times the prayers in other mosques except the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque ..
All Muslims are commanded to turn his / her towards Masjid unclean wherever they are, it is strengthened by Surah Al-Baqarah verse 149 and 150. This command is almost equal in rank with Allah commands others like it do salat, zakat, fasting, pilgrimage as a form of liver bound and remember Allah in all things of this world.
